Leo (M) – in Chicago, Illinois

Meet Leo! This handsome seven‑year‑old cuddlebug — with his sweet little face, beautiful coat, and unstoppable devotion to his people — is looking for a new home to call his own. When his family realized they were moving overseas and couldn’t take him along, they reached out to BFCACT for help. Thanks to one of our wonderful foster families, Leo has settled in beautifully and is now ready for the next chapter: a loving forever home where he can share all the affection, loyalty, and joy he has to offer.

Our boy weighs just 11 pounds. He is neutered and microchipped, and before going to his adopter he will be UTD on his vaccines and have a dental cleaning. Leo isn’t a fan of vet visits and can be anxious during medical appointments, but he does very well at the groomer’s. He is fully housetrained and also knows how to use an artificial grass pad indoors on those rare occasions when his family needs to be away for many hours.

Leo is happiest when he is with his people — sharing the day, offering snuggles, and soaking up every bit of love. He would do best in a family where someone is home much of the time. We think he would enjoy having another active, friendly small dog to romp with and help him use his boundless Bichon energy.

He loves his daily walks, when he can enjoy exploring the world and greeting other pups and their humans. He also does well in a fenced‑in yard for quick potty breaks. And in the car? Leo is one terrific little co‑pilot.

Leo adapted quickly to his foster home and is comfortable with all family members. He would probably do best in a home with older children or adults only. Leo is at a wonderful age — past the chaos of puppyhood and ready to enjoy the finer things in a fluff’s life: a trusted, nurturing family, healthy food and treats, and the non‑stop pampering he so richly deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward you with unconditional love and gratitude, Leo may be your boy.

Brandy (F) & Bella (F) - A bonded pair in Chandler, Arizona (suburb of Phoenix)

Can these little faces be any cuter? We don’t think so. Brandy and Bella, our two gorgeous little princesses, are ready for their second chance.

Brandy is an eight‑year‑old, 9 lb. sweetheart. She’s been diagnosed with diabetes, now managed with twice-daily insulin injections with her meals, which she’ll need on an ongoing basis. She also has Cushings, although she takes her liquid Vetoryl easily and seems to be feeling better.  Bella, her nine‑year‑old, 16-lb. sister, is a true lovebug in every sense of the word who just wants to be near or touching you. If you want to hear squeals of joy, you’ll get them when you return after leaving the house.

Brandy and Bella are deeply bonded to their foster dad and will follow him all around the house. If you’ve ever dreamed of leading your own fluffy parade each day, they are absolutely the girls for you. They must lay in his office while he is working. And they MUST sleep in his bed. They adore their daily walks and will give you quite a workout - they’re speedy little troopers.  Both girls are spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated. While they are doing well in the housetraining department, they would do best in a home with a fenced-in backyard and a doggie door, so they can let themselves out when they need to potty. As we fine‑tune Brandy’s diabetes medication, she sometimes needs an extra potty break or a quicker trip outside — completely normal during this phase. She’s a tidy, reliable, and wonderfully cooperative little girl who truly tries to keep her routine, and she’s already improving.

Brandy and Bella apparently had some rough times in their early years, and they can be nervous and fearful. Brandy is very afraid of bigger dogs.   Bella is a little diva who prefers to be the alpha and gets along beautifully with dogs who let her lead. She will also bark at strangers if dad is nearby - her way of making sure he’s safe. She loves stuffed toys (especially removing the squeaker).  Because of their sensitivities, we will not place them with children.

We are looking for a patient, experienced adopter who is home most of the time - someone retired or working from home would be ideal. These girls are amazing, tender souls who just need reassurance that the world isn’t scary and that love is forever.

If you would like to experience their loyalty, devotion, and gratitude, please apply to adopt them. You’ll be giving two deserving girls a second chance at a happy life. It doesn’t get much better than that.
